Welcome to the School of Liberal Arts. The School of Liberal Arts, through the Department of Media, Culture, and the Arts (MCA) and the Department of English, offers a number of programs to prepare you for careers that require excellent skills in critical thinking, oral and written communications, research, technology, and the fine arts:

  • Bachelor degrees in English (traditional and teacher certification tracks), New Media and Communications, and Interdisciplinary Studies
  • Associate Degrees in Art, Communication Studies, English, Foreign Language, General Studies, Music, and Theatre
  • Minors in Creative Writing, Gender Studies, and Spanish
  • Certificate in Graphic Arts

We are highly committed to student success and strive to create a community of lifelong learners. You will find highly qualified faculty who are recognized within their respective disciplines and exceptionally well prepared to instruct and mentor students in their chosen career paths. Faculty members within the School of Liberal Arts are concerned about students both inside and outside of the classroom, and many of them also serve as faculty advisors for campus organizations. Additionally, the college newspaper, television station, and literary magazine are housed within the School of Liberal Arts.

I invite you to explore our website and to contact us for more information about our program offerings.
