Full Name: Stephanie Breitenbach.
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio.

Employment: Editor-in-chief of MGA’s student newspaper, “The Statement.”
Degree Objective: Bachelor of Arts in New Media and Communications.
Class Rank: Senior.
Primary Campus: Macon.
Activities: “In addition to being the Editor-in-chief of ‘The Statement’ I’m a member of the Student Media Advisory Board. One of my film projects, titled “Nerve,” is among those that will be shown at the MGA Student Film Festival at the Tubman Museum.”
Career Goals: “I’ve always been interested in television, film and music. Whether it’s with filming, editing or writing, I’d love to be involved with entertainment production. I would also enjoy live entertainment and event production with concerts, festivals, theater and similar types of performances.”
She chose Middle Georgia State University because … “The New Media and Communications degree is unique and one I hadn’t seen at other schools. I felt like it would be a broad enough major that would allow me to study many different subjects that interest me.”
The greatest thing she discovered about Middle Georgia State was … “A smaller campus provides smaller class sizes and more personal attention. There are so many opportunities to get involved on campus. It’s easier to get noticed and find who will help you look for the best opportunities to reach your individual goals.”
Her greatest academic experience so far as a Middle Georgia State student has been … “There isn’t just one experience in particular, but I think getting to learn more about myself through taking different classes and working on various projects has been a huge advantage. Taking certain classes that seemed out of my comfort zone actually helped me realize I’m capable of much more, and can enjoy subjects that I never thought would interest me.”
To her, greatness means … “Finding and using my skills and talents to be the best person I can be in all that I do. I believe that when an individual uses their strengths to grow into a better person and works towards making a positive difference in the lives around them, that’s achieving greatness.”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I’ve always been really interested in music. I love singing, playing guitar and writing song lyrics.”
In five years … “I see myself working professionally in the film and television editing field or live event management. I’m always open to pursuing new opportunities as they come. Personally, I’ll always continue enjoying my hobbies in video making, music and writing.”
