International Students: Middle Georgia State University offers a multitude of degree options for international students. International students wishing to be considered for admission must complete the steps listed below. Foreign high school/secondary and post-secondary transcripts must be submitted to an International Credentials Evaluation Service for a course-by-course evaluation to include GPA. The official evaluation document (prepared by the service provider) should then be sent directly to the Middle Georgia State University Admissions Office. Students choosing to have the official evaluation document sent via email should request that it be sent directly to (evaluation documents sent to the students email that are then forwarded to the MGA admissions email will not be accepted as official). For your convenience, several educational credential evaluation service providers are listed below.

A waiver of the English proficiency requirement can be applied to students who have successfully completed academic instruction in English. Successful completion can be demonstrated by one of the following methods: 1) Proof of degree at the secondary or collegiate level either outside or inside the U.S. where English is the official language of academic instruction. 2) Proof of completion of the equivalent of English 1101 and/or 1102 with a grade of C or better in one or both courses, at an accredited U.S. institution.

Students who are required to take Compass or Accuplacer placement tests, may be waived of the English Proficiency requirement if the calculated EPI places them directly into college level English with no required co-requisite.

- International Students : Middle Georgia State University offers several degree programs online . International Students who wish to pursue an online degree while remaining in their own country should follow steps 1-3 and notify the Office of Admissions that you wish to be a distance learner studying in your own country. Submit an affidavit of financial support , a letter from your family or sponsor stating they will pay for your education, and certified bank records showing three months of transactions with a balance of at least $24,625 per year available to you for your educational and living expenses in the United States. Please be advised that Middle Georgia State University does not offer a financial aid program for International Students.
- Review and comply with the Middle Georgia State University Mandatory Student Insurance Program.
- International students are required to submit proof of immunization for certain communicable diseases. Immunization requirements and form can be found at https://www.mga.edu/health-clinic/immunization.php. Health insurance is mandatory for international students.
- Submit additional information as requested by the Admissions Office.

Freshman Transfers from an International High School
International Students: Middle Georgia State University offers a multitude of degree options for international students. International students wishing to be considered for admission must complete the steps listed below. Transfer Admissions Requirements 1-29 hours
Students that have earned between 1-29 transferable hours must meet both freshman and transfer admission requirements:
- Transfer applicants must present a cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 or above (based on a 4.00 scale) on all work attempted and must be in “good standing” at the last institution attended in order to be admitted in “good standing”.
- Transfer applicants whose cumulative grade-point average is below 2.00 may be considered for admission and placed on academic probation.
- Transfer applicants whose academic status was probation, exclusion, or dismissal when last enrolled at any institution will, if admitted, be placed on academic probation.
