COVID-19 Testing

Free COVID testing is available through the two health districts that cover our campuses. Students who do not have transportation to get to a testing site, please contact our student health clinic.

North Central Health District (Macon and Warner Robins campuses) COVID-19 Testing Line can be reached at 844.987.0099 during M-F 8am–7pm and Sat 8:30am–5pm. Please call ahead as reservations are required.

South Central Health District (Cochran, Eastman and Dublin campuses) COVID-19 Testing Line can be reached at 478.275.6570. Appointments are not required, but registration forms must be submitted in advance.

For Students

  • Free weekly walk-through testing on Cochran Campus for any MGA student - The Health Department in Cochran is offering free walk up testing to students each Wednesday, (8a-noon) through December 2nd
    • Students must complete the two steps noted on this page in order to receive a COVID-19 test on the Cochran Campus
    • Students attending other campuses may be tested, but they will need to arrange for their own transportation to the Cochran campus.
    • The location of the testing site is in the parking lot of Browning Hall.
    • The test is done outdoors via walk-through testing.

When to get tested:

  • If you have had close contact with a confirmed positive COVID-19 individual (closer than six feet away from them for fifteen or more minutes), but are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, you should wait at least ten days after your exposure to be tested.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you should be tested as soon as possible after symptoms first appear.

You must complete two steps in order to receive a COVID-19 test on the Cochran Campus:

  1. Complete Department of Public Health’s (DPH) screening & testing form
    • On the first screen, when prompted, select “Bleckley County” (regardless of your county of residence)
    • Complete the entire screening & testing form and provide your personal details – on the page where you enter your address, enter your actual county of residence in the field provided
    • On the last page, you will be prompted to select a testing site. Use ZIP Code 31014 to find the MGA testing location.
    • Note: Appointments will be opened on the Thursday before each testing date.

    STEP 1: COMPLETE DPH SCREENING & TESTING FORM

  2. After you have completed the DPH form, complete the MGA appointment form to select a time to receive your test

**Students cannot receive a COVID-19 test on the Cochran Campus if you have not completed BOTH of the above steps.**


For Faculty & Staff

  • Free weekly drive-through testing on the Cochran campus is available for all MGA faculty and staff (regardless of your county of residence) each Wednesday, (8a-noon) through December 2nd. MGA's Cochran campus is the site for weekly drive through testing in Bleckley County. You must complete the DPH screening & testing form in order to receive a test:
    • On the first screen, when prompted, select “Bleckley County” (regardless of county of residence)
    • Complete the entire screening & testing form and provide your personal details – on the page where you enter your address, enter your actual county of residence in the field provided
    • On the last page, you will be prompted to select a testing site. Use ZIP Code 31014 to find the MGA testing location.
    • Note: Appointments will be opened on the Thursday before each testing date

Individuals may also contact their primary care provider or utilize community testing sites. Fees or insurance may be required.

Anyone with severe symptoms should call 911 or report directly to an emergency center for evaluation/testing.
