Planned Giving

Leave a Lasting Legacy through Gift Planning

At Middle Georgia State University, we welcome the opportunity for donors to make a personal commitment to help shape the University's future by leaving a lasting legacy that will positively impact future generations.

Planned giving allows a donor to establish a future charitable gift through their financial and estate plans. Through a variety of estate planning options, such as life income gifts (annuities), bequests, and charitable trusts, you can provide meaningful support to those seeking to advance their lives through higher education. Planned giving allows you to enjoy immediate financial and tax benefits while funding a program, project, or area of study that is important to you.

Legacy Society

Those donors who have made a planned gift benefiting Middle Georgia State University are recognized in the Foundation's Legacy Society. If you have included Middle Georgia State in your estate plans, we would like to show our appreciation by including you as a member of this honorary society. Members are recognized, unless they request anonymity, at special events, various publications, and on the Foundation's website. Other benefits include:

  • Invitations to University and Foundation events
  • President's Reception Invitation
  • Opportunity for a personalized visit or campus tour with a staff member or student
  • Membership in a community that believes in the future of Middle Georgia State and our students!

We would be happy to help you explore how a planned gift might fit in your plans. Contact Julie Davis, Executive Director of Major and Planned Giving at 478.934.3518.
