Middle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of Assistant Professor of Biology for the School of Arts and Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences to begin Fall 2019. This position involves teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower level and/ or upper level biology courses. One position is available at the Warner Robins campus. Travel to satellite campuses (Macon, Cochran) may sometimes be required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Biology or related field with special attention given to the following areas of expertise: anatomy and physiology. For Assistant Professor rank and tenure-track status, the successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Biology or a related field, Ph.D is preferred. Candidate selected for employment will be subject to a background check. SALARY: Commiserate with experience. Salary for 10 month contract is in the upper $40,000’s for an Assistant Professor rank, upper $30,000’s for a Lecturer rank. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications accepted until position is filled.
