The Faculty Consultant will work with the Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Science, the Dean of the School of Health and Natural Science, and the Dean of Graduate Studies to prepare regional and professional accreditation documents for the newly approved Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) bridge program.


• Assist in the development of pre-accreditation documentation for ACOTE.

• Collaborate with the appropriate committees, faculty members, and administrators in developing coursework and assessment of student learning outcomes in compliance with current ACOTE standards.

• Assisting in the development of a strategic plan in compliance with current ACOTE standards.

• In collaboration with the appropriate committees, faculty members, and administrators, develop and manage a timeline and plan for ACOTE accreditation.

• Collaborate with the appropriate faculty and administrators to develop assessment plans for student learning outcomes as well as program outcomes in compliance with SACSCOC policies.

• Committee approximately 20hrs/week to MGA for the completion of these responsibilities.


• An earned Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field • A credentialed and licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility in Georgia and a minimum of 8 years experience in the field of occupational therapy.

• Demonstrated record of excellent teaching and scholarship.

• Demonstrated aptitude in the ACOTE accreditation process.

• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience with demonstrated experience in instructional design and course development.

• At least 1 year of administrative experience including but not limited to program planning and implementation.
