This position provides clinical supervision to Middle Georgia State University Respiratory Therapy students placed in regional healthcare facilities and laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision of Respiratory Therapy students in the clinical setting, providing and coordinating clinical teaching activities in the hospital/clinical/laboratory setting to include student assignments, clinical supervision and student evaluation. Instruction responsibilities require travel to clinical sites. The candidate selected also serves on the Respiratory Therapy Program advisory committee and will be subject to a background investigation. REQUIREMENTS: RRT credential, current unencumbered state license, Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy (Master of Science degree preferred); current CPR certification (ACLS, NRP and PALS preferred); current AARC membership and a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy; experience in adult critical care required with neonatal and pediatric critical care experience preferred; prior teaching experience preferred. Must meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications to hold the position and attend orientation and professional development as required.
