This position is responsible for coordinating the administrative functions of the School of Business and assisting the Dean in managing the day-to-day operations of the School of Business. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinates and manages the School of Business administrative issues on a regular basis with other campuses. • Coordinates the Academic Advisors schedules on four campuses. • Provides assistance to faculty, other staff, and students. • Coordinates and manages special events of the School of Business. • Prepares memoranda, letters, emails and reports. • Manages the Dean’s schedule and calendar; schedules appointments. • Creates and manages the student workers/peer tutors and their respective schedules. • Manages all activities in the School of Business. • Point of contact for faculty, staff and students in the School of Business. • Manages the academic calendar and due dates within the School of Business. • Inputs course schedules in Banner. • Manages information on the School of Business website and Facebook page. • Maintains required records for operating and travel budgets. • Attends meetings and records minutes; coordinates meeting and makes arrangements for food and beverages. • Performs related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an associate’s degree or the equivalent in years of related work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact well with students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders from the four campuses. Problem solving skills. Skill in prioritizing and organizing work. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Skill in the use of such office equipment, scanner, fax machine, and copier. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and level of competency associated with completion of specialized training and a Bachelor’s Degree. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of at least two years of experience. Knowledge of university and school policies and procedures. SALARY: Pay Grade 16 APPLICATION DEADLINE: The position will remain posted until filled.
