Description:

Under the general direction of the Associate Director, assists in developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating programs which provide information and assistance for prospective and new students, their parents, campus visitors and the general public.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Assists in administering orientation programs for new students entering the University.

• Coordinates weekday and special campus tour programs, and other programs that may be assigned.

• Assists in recruiting, selecting, and training student workers who work with campus tours and the orientation program.

• Assumes primary responsibility for supervising student workers who work with campus tours and the orientation program.

• Maintains accurate and current data in the customer relationship management system (CRM), scheduling process and staffing for all weekday and special campus tours.

• Works with academic departments and other university offices to coordinate the new student orientation program, on-campus recruitment events, and campus tours.

• Assists in preparing, compiling, and analyzing evaluations and surveys for new student orientation programs, prospective student open houses and campus tours.

• Assists in preparing and revising media presentations, publications, training manuals, and reports used by the Admissions Office for orientation and campus tours.

• Represents the Admissions Office at on-campus presentations and on committees, as needed; and occasionally at off-campus presentations and recruitment events.

• Performs related duties as required by the Associate Director of Admissions.

• Assists with onboarding of new students enrolling on campus and through MGA Direct.

• Implements the Momentum Year objectives into orientation, recruitment and student onboarding to support persistence and retention of new students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.

• Two years orientation or admissions experience.

• Strong oral and written communications skills.

• Ability to select, train, and supervise student workers.

• Experience in writing and editing informational and promotional materials.

• Ability to evaluate programs.

• Computer literacy.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

• Must have a reliable motor vehicle.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with a CRM.

• Social media experience.

• Project management experience.

• Experience managing staff and/or student workers.

• Two years orientation or admissions experience in a competitive admissions standards environment at a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
