Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Temporary Assistant Football Coach – Offensive position. The Assistant Football Coach will assist coach, train and promote Club Football activities at the Cochran Campus. He/she reports to the Head Football Coach. MAJOR DUTIES: • Under the general direction of the Head Football Coach, the Assistant Football Coach is responsible for designing, implementing practice plans, game plans, and teaching fundamental and sportsmanship. • The Assistant Coach is responsible for his/her position group, during practice games. • Assist and support the academic success of our players with daily implementation of academic monitoring and mentoring. • Assists with recruiting and perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the Head Coach. • Assists with maintenance of Football game and practice fields, preparation of the game field. • Assists in the practices, game planning, and mini day camps. • Assists with summer camps. • Works with community organizations to promote football club in the community. • Attend weekly statistical input and analytics meetings. • Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director and Head Coach. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. • Knowledge of athletic program management and football rules and procedures. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and job-related software programs (Hudl/video editing). • Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions. • Skill in oral and written communications. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience as a player or coach at the collegiate or professional level preferred. • Minimum of 2 years football coaching experience preferred. • Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred.
