Middle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of Assistant Mathematics Academic Success Coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences in the Department of Mathematics to begin in spring 2018. This position will be based on the Cochran campus. This position will include managing the day-to-day operations of the Math Academic Resource Center on the Cochran campus. This will include: tutoring, overseeing tutoring and instructional programs, hiring tutors, creating and maintaining mathematical resources, and advertising the center on the campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High degree of knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, learning management systems (D2L, Blackboard), and learning homework programs (ALEKS, MyMathLab, Web Assign, etc.). Ability to adapt to new and unique situations. Familiarity with current technology trends and social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.). 2 or more years tutoring experience in lower and upper level mathematics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education are preferred.
