Middle Georgia State University invite applications exemplifying the teacher-scholar model for a 10-month tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position teaching undergraduates courses, advising students, assisting in department activities, engaging in scholarly activities, and service. Academic preparation and teaching responsibilities will be related to health care administration. Teaching responsibilities may include online, day and/or evening classes at any of the four campuses served by the Health Service curriculum. In addition to teaching, this position will participate in program planning, accreditation activities, internship development including serving as internship coordinator, and student recruitment and retention. MGA has a strong communication to diversity and seeks a broad spectrum of candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS: Middle Georgia State University, the successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in health administration or related filed (PhD, Dr. SC, and Dr. PH). Candidate enrolled in doctoral student (ABD only) will be considered if the degree is obtained by the completion of the candidate’s first year of employment. Requisite teaching experience in operations management, healthcare finance/reimbursement, information management, strategic management, quality management, or long-term care. Applicants must have a record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor as the institution is developing additional on-line program capacity. Additionally, because a number of health services administration undergraduates courses are currently offered online, candidates should at minimum indicate experience teaching in an online learning environment and indicate an interest in on-line teaching. Candidates selected for employment will be subject to a background check.

OTHER INFORMATION: MGA welcomes teaching, research and service related activities from its faculty. Anticipated start date is Fall 2018 and is contingent upon final budgetary approval.
