DESCRIPTION: Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for two Biology positions for the School of Arts and Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences to begin Spring or Fall 2019. Rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor depending upon qualifications. These positions involve teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower level and/ or upper level biology courses. Two positions are available: one in the area of Microbiology, the other in Evolutionary Biology. Travel from home campus to another campus (Macon, Warner Robins, Cochran and Dublin, GA) may be required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Biology or related field. For Assistant Professor rank and tenure-track status, the successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Biology or a related field, Ph.D. is preferred. Candidate selected for employment will be subject to a background check. SALARY: Commensurate with experience and rank.
