Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Customer Service Representative for the Warner Robins Campus. This position is responsible for providing customer services to current and potential students in regards to financial aid policies, procedures and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance.

• Assists students in the completion of financial aid forms.

• Receives, logs, scans and indexes paperwork.

• Assists with entrance and exit counseling.

• Packages, authorizes and disperse aid.

• Maintains office files and records.

• Removes holds on student accounts as appropriate.

• Maintains office supply inventory.

• Reconciles purchase card accounts.

• Updates student records as appropriate.

• Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Knowledge of federal, state and institutional financial aid programs, policies and procedures. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in oral and written communication.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of the Banner financial aid module.

SALARY: Pay Grade 10
