Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Chair of the Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice. This is a 12-month faculty position. This position is responsible for directing the operations of the Department and reports to the Dean of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences. The start date is January 2018. This position involves teaching a 1/1/1 course load. Travel among our campuses is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate for this position must hold a Ph.D. in one of the Department’s disciplines, and hold tenure at MGA. Knowledge of the Department’s disciplines, accreditations, assessment, strategic planning strategies, budget development, management principles, classroom practices, teaching methodologies, assessment systems, and educational technology the ability to delegate, make timely decisions, operate computers and related software, solve problems, relate interpersonally, deal with the public, and communicate in oral and written forms – all are essential.
