Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Graphic Designer will provide support to the University's marketing/creative services team by assisting with specific assignments related to marketing/advertising collateral development and production, content creation, and photography and videography. Responsibilities are diverse and will include:

  •  Developing, creating and designing marketing and promotional materials, including information sheets, brochures, bi-folds, posters, flyers, banners, mailers, signage, programs, documents, presentations,
  •  Developing, creating and designing creative collateral, including print/traditional mediums, digital channels, photography and video
  •  Creating original artwork that supports and upholds the institution's visual identity standards and digital content in support of the University’s marketing objectives, to include in-house videos and photography
  •  Collaborating with internal departments and external entities
  •  Assisting with a wide range of internal and external communications for the Office of Marketing & Communications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, new media, IT or closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of digital information, including file types, compatibility and usages
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative cloud, minimally Acrobat Pro, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows and Apple Mac OSX platform
  • Proficiency in photography and videography including editing
  • Experience with social media platforms, to include content creation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Strong writing, grammar and editing skills
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to write clearly and compellingly
  • Superior interpersonal skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with creative teams in marketing, advertising and communications

 

TRAVEL REQUIRED? Occasionally


NIGHTS/WEEKENDS REQUIRED? Not normally but on occasion
