JOB DESCRIPTION:  Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Part-time- Student Assistant to assist the Lab Coordinator with daily upkeep and maintenance of the Department of Natural Sciences laboratories

Duties

The following is a list of tasks student workers in the Natural Sciences Department may be asked to perform.

1. Washing, drying, and storage of glassware.
2. General upkeep of laboratory equipment.
3. Assisting in preparation of solutions, media, cultures, and specimens for use.
4. Keeping lab surfaces clean and organized.
5. Organization and cleaning of lab-prep rooms.
6. Maintain inventory of common supplies (e.g., paper towels, soap bottles, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be an MGA student, at least 18 years old, and taking a minimum of 12 credit hours during the Fall or Spring semester.  Must have flexibility in class schedule to allow for at least 10 work hours each week. 

SALARY:  $9.00/per hour
