Job Description

Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Peer Tutor/Student Assistant (10 hours per week). The BROS Mentorship Program, in partnership with Brothers Of Leadership & Distinction (BOLD) is seeking (3) candidates for the position of a peer tutor in Math, English, and Science. Students who have earned A’s and B’s in any of the selected courses listed below are encouraged to apply:

BIOL 1001 and 1002 (Introductory Biology I & II)

BIOL 1011 and 1012 (Introduction to Biology I & II)

CHEM 1211 and 1212 (Principles of Chemistry I & II)

ENGL 1101 and 1102 (English Composition I & II)

MATH 1111 (College Algebra)

MATH 1113 (Precalculus)

The tutors selected will be expected to tutor other subjects as needed, including other courses in which the applicant has earned an A or B. Peer tutors conduct academic tutoring in both one-on- one and group settings and assist students with computer programs and tutorials as needed.
