Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Student Conduct Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supporting institution-wide conduct system and processes to ensure investigation resolution of alleged violations, consistent with University policy, the Student Handbook, student Code of Conduct, and other relevant policies and procedures. Ensures student due process is being followed and provided. Oversees and manages the University’s response to students accused of conduct violations, Campus police reports, and behavior related to medical withdrawals. Serves as a member of the Assessment and Care Team (the University’s behavioral response team) and a member of the Admissions Review Team (which reviews admissions applications with felony convictions). Coordinates and oversees day-to-day conduct hearings and training activities. Provides input into policy and procedure development and compliance related to student conduct. Maintains all student records and conduct communication documentation related to conduct issues. Counsel and ensure students know and understand the conduct process, issues and received formal communication to and from student and other stakeholders, outlines expectations, refers students to other offices and/or services, and assist students with completion of any sanctions and/or requirements. Serves as Title IX investigator, as requested by Title IX Coordinator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, student services, or related field, required. Minimum one to two years related experience. Must have knowledge and experience with case management techniques and student conduct software (i.e. Maxient). Must have effective and proven problem solving abilities and ability to work with diverse populations. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills, strong analytical skills, incident investigation and interviewing stills, strong time management skills, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Valid driver’s license required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master degree preferred.

SALARY: Pay Grade 17
