JOB SUMMARY

Assistants will complete work on research, activation, and maintenance of the broadband wi-fi system.  

 MAJOR DUTIES

Work with designated School of Information Technology faculty to configure, install, and test broadband wi-fi equipment.  Implement associated security features and perform maintenance of equipment as needed.

Assistants will report to Project Technical Lead, Dr. Nelbert St. Clair.

 COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK

Must have a strong working knowledge of wireless networks, security of wireless networks, and the ability to work in an ITEC lab environment.

Work with using a computer and wireless network equipment.  

 SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY 

Project Technical Lead, Dr. Nelbert St. Clair will assign assistants' jobs and provide direction to assistants.  

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate students enrolled at Middle Georgia State University 
  • Have strong background in Information Technology networking and/or cybersecurity 
  • Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and have completed the Information Technology core classes
