JOB SUMMARY Assistants will work on a bioinformatics project for developing computational tools to analyze data of tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). MAJOR DUTIES Analyze the data of tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) and develop computational tools for identifying metabolites from MS/MS data. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION IT, biology, or chemistry course(s) background SUPERVISORY CONTROLS Assistants will report to Project PI Dr. Yingfeng Wang and/or Co-PI Dr. Myungjae Kwak, School of IT. GUIDELINES Submit a resume or brief on your background to Dr. Yingfeng Wang (yingfeng.wang@mga.edu) COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK Manually analyze data and use computer languages to implement computational tools CONTACTS Dr. Yingfeng Wang PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Work will be performed using a computer in a lab environment. This is a part time position that will continue throughout the year. SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY Project PI Dr. Yingfeng Wang and Co-PI Dr. Myungjae Kwak will assign assistants' duties and advise assistants on the direction of the research being performed.
