Description:

Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Student Services Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating the student services administrative operations of the Dublin Campus of Middle Georgia State University.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates student life events; advices campus activity board and liaison with Student Government Association senators.

• Assists in the marketing and promotion of campus activities, including the online calendar, and social media.

• Oversees student center, including equipment maintenance.

• Maintains accurate event attendance records.

• Administers assigned budgets.

• Prepares requisitions, contracts, check requests, travel requests and reimbursements.

• Trains and supervises student staff.

• Coordinates and assists with career Services events, workshops, and providing information on maximizing employment opportunities as well as career planning and development.

• Forwards student paperwork to appropriate personnel.

• Serves as recruiter and relationship builder for prospective students at the four Laurens County high schools.

• Coordinates enrollment-related events such as open houses, campus tours, and orientation for the Dublin campus and provides administrative support for the events.

• Provides admissions support to students; answers general admissions questions.

• Refers students and prospective students to appropriate faculty or staff.

• Assists students with admissions application process.

• Enters data into Banner system and admissions documents into NOLIJ.

• Performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupation al field. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Knowledge of admissions policies and procedures. Knowledge of student affairs principles. Knowledge of marketing principles. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Skill in interpersonal relations and working with the public. Skill in the provision of customer services. Skill in oral and written communications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of University policies and procedures.

SALARY: Pay Grade 17
