Description:

This position is responsible for conducting testing sessions for Middle Georgia State University students.  Knowledge and skills required by the position include: knowledge of examination and testing policies and procedures; knowledge of standard office procedures; knowledge of basic Math, English and Grammar skills; skill in record keeping and filing systems; skill in standard software application and skills in written and oral communication.

 

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Assists with the coordination of, and administers tests primarily at the Macon campus but can support other MGA campuses as needed.
  • Maintains and ensures the security of all testing materials, schedules, and conducts testing sessions.
  • Admits and verifies eligibility of testing candidates and communicates test procedures and rules.
  • Monitors candidates and resolve conflicts during testing to ensure a secure and quiet testing environment.
  • Reports and problems occurring during test sessions to the appropriate authorities and prepares paperwork and documentation for testing programs.
  • Conduct room environment checks at the beginning of each test session.
  • Returns all materials as specified; scores and reports test results on required forms.
  • Provides data and responds to surveys as requested, maintains currency for vendor delivered testing sessions.
  • Attends training meetings related to testing processes; provides guidance and resources to others regarding the testing programs as requested and provide assistance in other testing program areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing or an earned Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years’ experience in test administration, teaching, training or counseling.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Work experience related to maintenance of technical data records; preferably in the areas of examination and testing.

 

SALARY:

$13.50 hourly
