Middle Georgia State University offers study abroad, international exchange, and international service learning programs for students at all levels and in all majors, with program durations from one week to one semester and a variety of destinations. Explore your options here:
Credit-bearing study abroad programs:
- Exploring Evidence-Based Practice in Ireland: Maymester program for BSN and Health Services Administration students at MGA. Complete your research course requirement while learning about Irish culture from the program's home base in Waterford.
- Semester in Siena: Spring semester program based at the Dante Alighieri Institute in Siena, Italy, offering beginning Italian as well as upper- and lower-division humanities courses.
- European Council: Summer programs in seven major cities in Europe, offering core curriculum courses and upper-division courses in several majors.
- Asia Council: Summer programs in China and Japan offering core curriculum courses and upper-division courses in several majors.
- EU Studies "Discover the Heart of Europe": Maymester program allowing students in the EU Studies certificate program to travel to four countries (Germany, France, Belgium and Luxembourg) while studying the political and economic organization of the European Union as well as contemporary issues in European politics.
- Albany State University "Nursing in India": MGA students may participate as transients and receive credit for NURS 4000.

Experiential learning and service learning programs:
- Knights Impact: "Go for a good reason" with this one-week service-learning adventure in the Eastern Caribbean.
- School of Education Northampton University exchange program: Early childhood education majors can learn about pedagogical training and practice in the U.K. through this two-week immersion with their peers at Northampton.
