Early Childhood Education in Northampton

This two-week professional enrichment program administered by the School of Education & Behavioral Sciences offers students in Early Childhood Education the opportunity to become immersed in the U.K.'s teaching culture and teacher training by pairing MGA students with Northampton University students to attend student-teaching placements, participate in guided discussions, and complete reflective activities.

Students will complete a pre-departure orientation and a post-return reflection in addition to maintaining a journal and participating in all required assignments and activities while in the U.K.

The program takes place in early March around MGA's spring break. It is based at Northampton University in the East Midlands region of England, about an hour north of London by train. It offers cultural immersion activities and a free weekend for independent travel.

Please contact program director Dr. Sumitra Himangshu-Pennybacker for information about this opportunity: sumitra.himangshu@mga.edu.
