Career Goals: “A few of my career goals in life are to become a pilot for Delta as well as an entrepreneur.”

He chose Middle Georgia State College because… “It has one of the top flight schools in the country, as well as affordable tuition and small classroom sizes. The Cochran Campus, specifically, is a beautiful campus that I have truly grown to love. In spite of all the challenges that come with earning a degree, the faculty and staff have helped me grow into a well-rounded individual.”

The one thing that surprised him about Middle Georgia State was … “Seeing my friends graduate in the same degree program and finding a job immediately after graduating.”

His favorite professor is … “LeVette Burnette is my favorite professor. I took oral communications from her my freshman year. At that time I was extremely shy but her bubbly personality and upbeat teaching style made me feel comfortable enough to express myself. One year she offered me the position of being the host of the SWAY show, which is one of the biggest events on campus. After a successful night I became extremely comfortable with public speaking, which afterward helped in all aspects of my college career.”

His favorite place to study is … “My room, even though most professors suggest the library. I always feel at peace in my room. It is the place that I can truly relax and focus on studying without any disruptions.”

One thing people don’t know about him is … “As a child I was a catalog model for vacation spreads in magazines.”

His friends make fun of him because … “My way of doing things is different from most Americans since my family is originally from the Caribbean. For example, during my sophomore year, my friends and I all decided to have a potluck for a Christmas party and I made some oxtail and lagem that everyone was scared to taste. But after a few people tried it, it quickly became a fan favorite.”

The one person he’d most like to meet is … “Martin Luther King Jr. He had so much more to give and unfortunately his life was cut short. I always saw myself as a leader that would one day do great things and he was someone that used his leadership to help others. He believed in unity, equality and righteousness. With those values anything is truly possible.”

Five years from now he sees himself … “Being an entrepreneur starting my own business and traveling the world doing missionary work for the Red Cross. I don’t want to limit myself because there are so many possibilities.”
