A government bank that’s financed millions of dollars of exports from Georgia is under fire in the U.S. House of Representatives, where some high-ranking leaders say the bank amounts to a taxpayer subsidy for crony capitalism. ... Greg George, director of Middle Georgia State College’s Center for Economic Analysis, said such government subsidies introduce inefficiencies.
