Spring Garden Symposium Scheduled For Feb. 28

The Waddell Barnes Botanical Gardens at Middle Georgia State College is hosting the annual Spring Garden Symposium from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.

Various sessions will focus on the topics of new and underused plants; the UGA Trial Garden; native azalea culture in the South; and livable landscapes. At noon, a tree planting in memory of Dr. Waddell Barnes, founder of the botanical gardens, will take place.

Registration is $40 and includes continental breakfast and buffet lunch. Sessions will take place on the first floor of the Professional Sciences and Conference Center on the Macon Campus.
