Middle Georgia State recognized more than 50 students for academic achievements at the 2015 Honors Convocation.

Nadine Epperson of Kathleen was named the 2015 President’s Scholar, the highest award given to a graduating senior. Epperson is graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in new media and communication. Each year, the President’s Scholar is selected by Middle Georgia State’s president based on exceptional academic achievement, involvement in student life and promise of a successful future. Graduating summa cum laude with a 3.97 GPA and now working as a marketer for WinShape Camps in metro Atlanta, Epperson served as editor-in-chief of The Statement student newspaper at MGA for two years.

Sarah Hollifield of Bonaire was named the 2015 Academic Recognition Day Scholar. She will graduate with a bachelor of science degree in information technology. The Academic Recognition Day Scholar is chosen each year from a select group of students who demonstrate high academic achievement and strong commitment and service to their college and community.
