Recesso Joins MGA as Assistant Provost for Innovation and Outreach

Dr. Art Recesso has joined Middle Georgia State Universityas assistant provost for Innovation and Outreach. In that role, Recesso isleading several units, including instructional design and development,innovations in teaching and learning, adult and continuing education andacademic master planning.

Recesso has been a faculty member at Valdosta StateUniversity and a researcher at the University of Georgia, focusing onevidential reasoning methods and technology tools for the assessment andsupport of leaders, instructors and learners. He is the founder of twotechnology startups.

He holds a Ph.D. in education administration and policystudies from State University of New York, University at Albany. Originallyfrom Johnstown, N.Y., Recesso lives in Macon.
