With the recent legalization of same-sex marriage and remarks of forgiveness for homosexuality made by the Pope during his visit to the United States, the struggle for gay rights is still very much an issue.

Middle Georgia State University hosted a panel discussion about marriage and employment equality faced by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

One of the keynote speakers Tuesday night was former Mount de Sales teacher Flint Dollar. He told his story via Skype about being forced out of the Catholic school where he taught because of his announcement to marry his longtime partner.
