High School: Dublin High School, where he was four-year letterman in football and baseball and a one-year letterman in golf. He was all-region and all-state honorable mention in football and won a NAPA Auto Parts player of the year award. He also played on the U.S. All Star Ambassador team in Germany.
Employment: “I am currently a GHSA official for football and baseball and recently got invited to join the NCAA. I referee football and umpire baseball games.”
Degree objective: Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Accounting.
Class Rank: Junior.
Primary Campuses: Macon and Cochran (where Greek Life is based.)
Activities: “I am the general manager/president of the newly founded Kappa Sigma Fraternity. I was elected president in January and am very excited to be starting Greek Life at MGA. We currently have around 30 guys and are growing rapidly.”
Career Goals: “I want to use my accounting degree to go into hospital administration. I plan to obtain my MBA first and then apply for a director position and eventually work my way up to the CEO position. I love to lead people and make a large impact on their lives. I want to be an inspiration to the people who work for me. I want to make an impact on the future of medicine from a business side and make sure that a hospital can run as efficiently as it possibly can.”
He chose Middle Georgia State because … “The school recently became a University. I was a transfer student who did not plan to be here long. I was surprised at how much I loved this school once I was here. Middle Georgia State has a chance to be a great university. I like the small class sizes and really getting to know my professors well.”
The greatest thing he discovered about Middle Georgia State was … “The caliber of professors. The professors at this school are great and they care about your future. You’re not just a number at this school or another face. I’ve also enjoyed making friends here and developing relationships for life.”
His greatest academic experience so far has been … “Using the tutoring services available. They are outstanding!”
To him, “greatness” is … “Finding the drive to achieve something that nobody else thinks you can achieve. Most people are scared to set the bar for their lives extremely high. I think finding greatness is setting the standard so high that only you can achieve it. It’s about doing something extraordinary and not settling for anything less than your absolute best.”
One thing people don’t know about him is … “I was not born in the South. I moved to Georgia before high school but I am originally from Salt Lake City, Utah.I have adjusted well to the South, but it is very different from where I am from.”
The one person he’d most like to meet is … “Donald Trump. I have recently earned the nickname ‘Donald Trump’ among my brothers in the fraternity and peers at school. I would really enjoy discussing politics and business with him.”
In the next five years he sees himself … “Getting into a great MBA program. I want to explore the administrative side of medicine and really understand how hospitals run from a business perspective.”
