Alexandra
While helping other students as a volunteer at a recent MGA career fair, Alexandra Papadopoulos was sought out by a recruiter for a major employer and interviewed on the spot.

Full Name: Alexandra Papadopoulos.

Hometown and Residence: Macon.

Current Employment: GCSU Graduate Center.

Degree Objective: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Digital Forensics and Information Assurance. She holds a 3.66 GPA and has been on the President’s List the past five semesters.

Class Rank: Senior.

Primary Campus: Macon.

Activities: “I am a tutor at the Middle Georgia State Writing Center and the secretary for the Peer Career Advisors group on the Macon Campus.”

Career Goals: “I want to become a security analyst, which is someone who comes up with strategies and enacts policies to protect data. Information security is a field that is constantly expanding. There is always something new to learn.”

She chose Middle Georgia State University because … “I wanted to be close to my family. I began at another university out of state, but it wasn’t a good fit. I transferred to MGA because it was close to home, and once I got here it felt like the right place to be.”

The greatest thing she discovered about Middle Georgia State was … “The quality of the classes, the helpfulness of the professors, and the variety of available course schedule options.”

Her greatest academic experience so far as a Middle Georgia State student has been … “Meeting supportive and motivated peers.”

To her, greatness means … “Being content and inspired by whatever I am doing in life.”
One thing people don’t know about me is …. “My childhood dream was to become a fisherman and an archeologist - preferably at the same time.!”

In five years … “I hope to be working at job that I enjoy and establishing my career. “
