2023 Ethics Awareness Week Events

November 6th - 12th is Ethics Awareness Week! Our theme for the week is "Celebrating our Ethical Culture." MGA, along with the other 25 USG institutions and the University System Office, is hosting activities to bring awareness to the importance of an ethical culture. We share in our Core Values of Integrity, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.

The USG mission demands integrity, good judgment, and dedication to public service from all members of the USG Community.

The activities planned for this week are as follows:

• Monday, November 6th – MGA Student Panel – 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – in person at Roberts 123 (Cochran), Jones 123 (Macon), and virtual
• Tuesday, November 7th – MGA Ethics Awareness Panel: Ethical Boundaries in a Connected World 11:00 AM–12:00 PM Arts Complex Auditorium, Macon Campus (in-person/virtual)

10. Report wrongdoing to the proper authorities; refrain from retaliating against those who do report violations; and cooperate fully with authorized investigations.
11. Disclose and avoid improper conflicts of interest.
12. Refrain from accepting any gift or thing of value in those instances prohibited by law or Board of Regents policy.
13. Not use your position or authority improperly to advance the interests of a friend or relative.
