Executive Director of the Center for Middle Georgia Studies
The Executive Director serves as the executive officer and chief administrator of Center for Middle Georgia Studies (CMGS). The Executive Director is responsible for identifying pathways and projects for University partnership with community-based organizations, non-profits, governmental agencies and businesses throughout the Middle Georgia area. The Executive Director will develop relationships with external stakeholders and identify participants from the University community to provide joint activities focused on real-world solutions. Such projects and initiatives may include research, events, training and development, strategic planning, symposiums, and knowledge building. The Executive Director will ensure there is a sound business plan in place and oversee the operations of the CMGS. The Executive Director will facilitate and collaborate with other departments within the University and community stakeholders. The Executive Director will provide a support role in development operations to obtain grants and philanthropy to support the work of the CMGS. The Executive Director reports to the Office of the President and collaborates with the Office of the Provost.
