Georgia Humanities Council Symposia Part of Inauguration Week Events

Dr. Christopher Blake will be formally installed as the first permanent president of Middle Georgia State College on October 17. In the days leading up to the inauguration, there will be a variety of events taking place on Middle Georgia State’s campuses.

Among them is the Georgia Humanities Council Symposia: Stories from the Great Recession from 3:00-6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in the Professional Sciences Center Banquet Hall on the Macon Campus. Free and open to the public. For more information, email kevin.cantwell@mga.edu.

3:00-4:15 p.m. Presentation of student digital stories and short film

4:30-5:15 p.m. Panel Discussion with students and faculty members

5:30-6:30 p.m. Keynote: "I Learned My Poor from Books: Reading, Writing, and Survival," Stephen Corey, Editor, Georgia Review
