Middle Georgia State Hosts Money Management Sessions

Need money management advice? Middle Georgia State University is hosting several "Money Smart Week" events on the Cochran and Macon campuses.

The sessions are free and open to all students. Members of the public are also welcome.

Here is the schedule:

40 Money Management Tips Every College Student Should Know: 4 p.m. Monday, April 25, Room 151, Student Life Center, Macon Campus.

VISA’s Financial Football: 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, Room 151, Student Life Center, Macon Campus.

Putting Yourself In The Driver’s Seat - How To Buy A Car: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, Room 280, Student Life Center, Macon Campus.

VISA’s Financial Football: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, President's Dining Room, Georgia Hall, Cochran Campus.

Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign to promote financial education across all age groups. Launched in 2002 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the program is now active in more than 45 states through national partnerships with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Cooperative Extension and the American Library Association.

Money Smart Week events are open to the public at businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, nonprofits and government agencies throughout the country on topics including kids and money, unemployment, managing student debt and retirement.
