Biography: Myungjae Kwak, Ph.D., is Department Chair, Professor, and Peyton Anderson Endowed Chair in the Department of Computer Science at Middle Georgia State University, where he also serves as Director of the Center for Software Innovation and Applied AI. His academic background spans information systems, computer science, and economics, with a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University. His teaching and curriculum development focus on software engineering, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and database systems, across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. His research interests include data analytics and AI, biomedical informatics, IoT and wireless sensor networks, text and data mining, and AI-driven intelligent tutoring systems for programming education, supported by external funding from organizations such as the National Science Foundation and Affordable Learning Georgia. He has published extensively in journals and conferences in computer information systems, networking, data science, and biomedical informatics, and he is deeply engaged in editorial and professional service to the computing and information systems community.
