Mission Statement
The mission of the Bursar’s Office is to perform the fiduciary responsibilities of Middle Georgia State University and to professionally manage the financial transactions between students, parents and the College. This includes accurately disbursing and collecting student funds, and responding to student and parent inquiries about financial issues in a helpful, informed and courteous manner. In order to provide the best service possible to our customers we continue to look for ways in which to adapt our policies to meet all technological advances in hopes to increase performance and improve quality.
The specific responsibilities of the Bursar’s Office include:
- Issuing billing statements via electronic billing
- Ensuring payments and financial aid received are properly applied to students in a timely manner
- Refunding overpaid accounts
- Collection of past due accounts
