High School: “I attended Hancock Central High School in Sparta, where I was a cheerleader 6th-12th grade, a member of Hancock County 4-H, and a Mercer Upward Bound student.”
Family: “My lovely parents, Marlin Primus and Deda Dickson; my brothers, Carlos Dickson and TiKyus Dickson; and my sister, Sherjetta Primus.”
Employment: Senior resident assistant at University Pointe (Macon Campus residence hall), orientation leader-captain, and work study student for MGA Accounting Services.
Degree Objective: Bachelor of Science in Public Service.

Primary Campus: Macon
Activities: “I am currently serving as the president of Residence Housing Association. I am also a big sister for Big Brother Big Sister of the Heart of Georgia.”
Career Goals: “I have two career goals. The first is to own a non-profit organization that will assist low-income students with earning college degrees. My second career goal is to be a guidance counselor. I chose both career goals because I want to encourage students to attend college and work hard to get a higher education.”
She chose Middle Georgia State University because … “I felt right at home. When I did my first campus tour, the campus was not too big or too small. It was just right. MGA also had the degree I wanted. The teacher-to-student ratio was perfect. Also, I wanted to get away from home, but not too far. The distance was perfect for me.”
The greatest thing she discovered about Middle Georgia State was… “Being active on campus was a great experience. There are a lot of benefits to joining clubs and organizations. I have met a lot of awesome people, I have attended a lot conferences at state and regional level, I have presented a lot programs on campus and at conferences, and I have gained more leadership skills. I encourage each student at MGA to be involved on and off campus. They will not regret it.”
Her greatest academic experience as a Middle Georgia State student has been … “Taking the course "Program Funding and Evaluation (Grant Writing)" with Dr. Robertson. The class was a great experience because I was able to create my own program for a nonprofit and propose my grant. Dr. Robertson’s class was very hard but it brought out the best in me.”
To her, greatness means ... “Working hard and applying myself to achieve anything I put my mind to. I remind myself every day to keep my eye on the prize and to never give up regardless of how hard times are. If plan A does not work, I have 25 more plans to try until I have achieved greatness.”
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I enjoy helping with outreach programs. I recently visited New Orleans to help build homes for people affected by natural disaster.”
In five years … “I see myself attending graduate school. After graduate school, I see myself working at a high school as a guidance counselor. I also hope to be working toward starting my nonprofit organization to change the lives of those needing a second chance.”
