Have you graduated high school 5 or more years ago or should you have graduated high school 5 or more years ago and never attended college?
Non -Traditional (First-Time College Student) Admission Requirements
Have you graduated from an accredited high school or an accredited home school five or more years ago and not attended college?
- All applicants must have a high school diploma or a General Educational Development Diploma (GED).
- The high school diploma must be issued from a high school accredited by a regional accrediting association, the Georgia Accrediting Commission, the Georgia Private School Accrediting Commission, the Accrediting Commission for Independent Study, or from a public school regulated by a school system and state department of education.
- Graduates from a non-accredited high school or non-accredited home-school must submit the Home School and Non-accredited high school applicant procedures documentation to be considered for regular admission. Documentation submitted must demonstrate that the applicant has completed or comparable to an accredited high school diploma.
- All applicants must submit proof of immunization, lawful presence and any other supporting documents requested.
- Applicants who have a High School Certificate (also called a Certificate of Performance) or a Special Education Diploma will not be considered to be high school graduates for admission purposes.
Freshman Requirements
Students must meet the following criteria for entrance into the institution:
- Completion of high school diploma or GED.

Depending on your major, some programs may have additional requirements beyond the general university admission standards. Refer to the MGA academic catalog for more information.
Non-Traditional Freshmen Transfer Students
Have you earned between 1-29 semester hours and has it been 5 years or more since your expected high school graduation date?
