Continuing Education

Continuing Education offers a variety of traditional and innovative learning environments for alumni, senior citizens, adult learners, and working professionals who wish to engage in personal enrichment programs or training that is essential to career development. Students can participate in a variety of non-credit courses and seminars offered in an informal and non-competitive environment. Instructional methods include face-to-face classroom instruction and online/blended delivery methods.

We are excited to announce a new program. As part of the redesign of Continuing Education at Middle Georgia State University, the Master Lectures and Conversations Series will promote public engagement with the great ideas of our times. These lectures, classes, and conversations are brought to the public by MGA and its intellectual partners. Many presentations will be free of charge, but some will require paid registration through Continuing Education when the event is an actual class. As the inaugural lectures and in conjunction with other observances of Veterans Day, "The Great War at 100" recognizes one of the momentous events in history as presented by President Christopher Blake of Middle Georgia State University. These lectures require registration, as space is limited, but are free to all attendees.

Continuing Education will also become the standard gateway to CPR training. There will be a December 2017 training date and a July 2018 date. Please see our list of courses linked on this page. We are also working on restarting our real estate school, which we anticipate for Spring 2018.

Finally, look for details soon about the annual Spring Garden Symposium.
