MGA welcomes its newest alumni!

As Memorial Day approaches, we pause with deep gratitude to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. May this weekend bring meaningful reflection and heartfelt appreciation for the freedoms we hold dear.

A Season of Celebration

This month, MGA proudly celebrated five commencement ceremonies, marking a milestone for approximately 700 new graduates! Each of these remarkable individuals embodies the very heart of our mission. Our students are our "why." Thanks to your private support, we’re able to provide scholarships, academic resources, student engagement programs, and success initiatives that help shape their journeys. Their achievements are a powerful testament to the impact of your generosity—and our greatest reward.

Welcoming 700 New Alumni

With graduation comes another exciting milestone: 700 new alumni joining MGA’s growing global network of over 48,000 alumni strong. This vibrant community is a force for connection, opportunity, and support. Their continued engagement enriches MGA’s legacy and helps expand a powerful professional network for the next generation of graduates.

Honoring a Legacy: Malcolm Burgess, Jr.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Malcolm Burgess, Jr., a philanthropic leader and cherished friend of MGA. Malcolm’s generosity touched countless lives, and his enduring legacy continues through transformative gifts like the Malcolm Burgess Academic Excellence Endowment and support for the Peyton T. Anderson Enrollment Center. In 2021, we were proud to honor him with the Legacy of Leadership Award at the President’s Gala. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his children, Becky and Sandy, and grandchildren, Jude and Kate.

A Strong Swing for Student-Athletes

Our annual MGA Knights Athletics Golf Tournament teed off in April with incredible energy and support. Thanks to our dedicated sponsors, players, and teams, we raised more than $75,000 to support our student-athletes! Mark your calendars: our 12th annual tournament is set for April 13, 2026, at The Brickyard, with Texas Roadhouse joining as official lunch sponsor.

Looking Ahead: Your Voice Matters

As we explore a future capital campaign, our feasibility study is underway. Many of you will receive an invitation to share your thoughts through a one-on-one interview. Your feedback will help shape our priorities and guide MGA’s next chapter. We hope you’ll lend your voice to this important process—thank you in advance for your time and insights.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe, reflective, and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.
