NBRC’s Continued Commitment: Scholarships Transforming Lives at MGA

The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) has again demonstrated its commitment to transforming lives at Middle Georgia State University. This year, NBRC’s generous donation of $10,000 will fund scholarships for respiratory therapy students, significantly impacting their academic journey. Last year, NBRC’s $5,000 scholarship fund supported ten MGA students, two of whom have already graduated, and one who is on track to graduate.

Aliva Frady, Air Force Reserves Veteran and Fall 2024 graduate, changed her major from business to respiratory therapy after assisting nations during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Aliva says that the NBRC Respiratory Therapy Scholarship made her dream possible:

“Receiving this scholarship not only alleviates the financial burden of pursuing a higher education but also validates my dedication and hard work.  Beyond the financial assistance, this scholarship helps with my personal and career goals, allowing me to save money for my board exams.”

NBRC plays a crucial role in relieving the financial strain on respiratory therapy students, enabling them to concentrate on their studies and prepare for future roles in our communities.

NBRC Scholarship awards have already begun, and we will welcome a new class of respiratory therapy students to MGA in the spring.

The NBRC Respiratory Therapy Scholarship is an example of the powerful impact our donors have on the lives of MGA students
