We are spotlighting the Lisa M. Henry Memorial Scholarship as a tribute to an extraordinary woman whose legacy continues to inspire future aviation professionals.

Friends and colleagues of USAF Retired Senior Master Sergeant Lisa M. Henry established a scholarship in her memory. Lisa served as an assistant professor and program coordinator for the Middle Georgia State University (MGA) Department of Air Traffic Management from 2014 to 2021. Through this scholarship, MGA honors her dedication to education, aviation and her students, which has left an indelible mark on the MGA community. “Lisa loved aviation and was dedicated to teaching her students,” states her sister, Michele Henry.

This scholarship honors her legacy at MGA. “Her legacy will live on through the MGA Air Traffic Management students, and this scholarship in her memory serves as an important reminder to MGA and her family that Lisa made a lasting impact on the world,” says Paul Henry, her brother. Her family is proud this scholarship will allow “Lisa’s love for aviation and passion for air traffic management (ATM) to transcend generations.”
