Biography: I formerly taught in Ecuador (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador), South Korea (Chonbuk National University), Lebanon (the University of Balamand) and Turkey (Koç University and Doğuş University). I have published on Irish literature and culture, the rise of the gothic novel, and the writings of Joseph Conrad. Fun fact: My wife teaches math at Bleckley County High School. Fun fact: I was a college wrestler. Fun fact: I was a founding member of the Istanbul Ottomans International Rugby Club. Fun fact: I have an NCAA Big-8 championship ring from when I was on the staff of Mizzou Women’s Basketball. Fun fact: I have a GAA national championship medal for USGAA Junior B hurling, an Irish game. Pet peeve: students who do not grow their vocabulary. Favorite maxim: "live authentically and pursue your passion."
