| Biography: | The experience of growing up in a military family allowed me to live and travel extensively in the United States and abroad. Some interesting places which I have lived include Seoul, Korea, Heidelberg, Germany, Idar-Oberstein, Germany, as well as Fairbanks, Alaska. Recent travels have coincided with my interest in the natural world and are defined by representational and abstract articulations of space through plein-air study in Scotland and the UK. |

| Teaching and Research Interests: | Research interests relate to both the internal and external aspects of the elements of space in our natural environment. This involves both plein-air and studio-based painting. I am also interested in how humans relate to urban and rural spaces. My teaching interest is to create a highly effective studio art practice through the teaching of the principles of art and the elements of design using student-focused pedagogy in the areas of Painting, Drawing, 2d Design and 3d Design. |
