Biography: Much of Dr. McTyre's life was spent dabbling in various careers including medicine, retail, and accounting. After juggling odd jobs as a self-employed musician in Metropolitan Atlanta at the close of the twentieth century, he was accepted to graduate school at the University of Southern Mississippi where he made friends with people from all over the world. Dr. McTyre's initial years in Cochran were spent putting on musicals and music reviews with a fun bunch of adventurous students who have moved on to a variety of careers nationally. After consolidation, he has been honored to serve as the Assistant Chair and later Chair of MCA. He continues as the Interim Music Director at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Perry, GA.
