| Biography: | I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism. I retired from a northern Virginia school system in June of 2025. I worked as a Special educator and an Autism Specialist for that school system. I offered over 15 years of experience in instruction, behavior management and leadership. Currently, I am living in New Jersey by the beach. In addition to teaching at MGA, I work part-time as a BCBA for a company located in NC, VA and NJ. |

| Professional Experience: | PROFILE I presently teach two courses at MGA, ABA 4210 Ethics and Professional Conduct for Behavior Analysts and ABA 4310 Supervision for Behavior Analysts. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism. I worked as a Special educator for over 15 years in a northern Virginia school system. I also worked as an Autism Specialist for the same school system. I provided autism program/services oversight, supervision, and support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and staff supporting students across educational settings. I also provided team-based and individual coaching in strategies, interventions, and curriculum utilizing evidence-based practices based on Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). I was selected as the 2019 George Mason University Outstanding Student in ABA. I am clinically trained in Social Thinking. I was selected by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to participate in the Excellence in Co-Teaching Initiative as a demonstration site model teacher. Before retiring from the school system I was active in school-wide collaboration which promoted the use of data and research to improve student performance. I am self-motivated and confident with demonstrated success fostering solid, value-based relationships. Currently, I am working part-time as a BCBA for a privately owned clinic in NC, VA and NJ. |
